Chempilots was founded in Denmark in 1957, just north of the Danish capital of Copenhagen. An area world renowned for it’s innovation power within life science. The vibrant ecosystem and deep talent pool makes the greater Copenhagen the strongest life science cluster in the Nordic Countries, and is known as “Medicon Valley Alliance”. As pioneers in applied polymer chemistry, Chempilots was founded on our passion for solving complex issues within each phase of polymer development for the medical device and pharmaceutical industries.

Staying true to our passion for innovation Chempilots enjoys being located exactly in the heart of Medicon Valley and with access to a network of over 40,000 highly qualified professional and with more than 14,000 university life science researchers we are proud to attract some of the brightest within our specific field of chemistry. Our team of researchers is currently developing products within emerging areas such as 3D bio-printing, inks, bioerodible polymers for controlled release, wetting agents for mucus contact and more.

Our team consists of dynamic individuals with strong scientific and technical backgrounds, complete with solid business know-how, in-depth project portfolios and over 60 years of combined experience in the field.

We have worked with some of the largest, international life science and medical device companies, which makes our company comfortable and knowledgeable in servicing international markets. 98% of our turnover comes from countries outside Denmark.

Our Unique Development Process

At Chempilots, we can partner with you in many different ways. Whether it’s research and development you require or the development and characterization of a custom polymer, our goal is to create a lasting working relationship with you.

Our process begins with a simple phone call or email, depending on your preferences. We do require an NDA to be signed prior to any discussion. After this initial discussion, our team will decide if we’re the best choice to assist you in reaching your project goals. If so, we’ll draft a proposal and scope of your project. If you agree with the proposal, a full project proposal will be created complete with:

• Objectives
• Budget estimate
• Detailed experimental strategy
• Complete activity and timeline
• Detailed analysis

When you work with Chempilots, you’re in control of your involvement. From being part of your project’s research and development to allowing us to work on our own with little to no interaction, it’s up to you. It’s all part of the Chempilots Difference.

Quality Management

Working accordingly to custom specific quality control protocols and GMP standards has been the core of what Chempilots does. We will adopt any QA/QC system described by our customers and our process for managing custom specific protocols are second to none.

In 2021 we decided to have our Quality Management System certified as your proof, that Chempilots is capable of delivering as to our customers expectations and requirements. Either within the custom specific protocols or our own described QC systems.
