Also known as polymeric surfactants. Materials which affect stabilization, compatibility, wetting and lubrication for interfacial or heterogeneous systems.

Hema Polymer - Poly (2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate)

A biocompatible, but nondegradable hydrophilic polymer. In the dry state the material is hard and glassy, but after hydration it becomes soft and flexible. The polymer will not dissolve in water, but instead absorb water and swell.
