The techniques related to the manufacture of soft contact lenses have developed considerably the last 20-30 years. Our contributions have helped improve vision and comfort, improve processes thus enabling more cost-effective production.

The demands for surface properties that enable safe and comfortable lenses are high. Manufacturing precision must be maintained to ensure optimum correction. Moreover, the growing trend towards inexpensive disposable products makes the area extremely challenging from a technological perspective.
